About Me

Hi, I’m Lindsay! A Chatham-Kent postpartum doula and perinatal nutrition expert supporting mothers through pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood.

Before creating The Nourished Nest, I was in the thick of motherhood myself. I knew what it felt like to be exhausted, emotional, overstimulated, hungry, needed by everyone, and somehow still expected to keep functioning as if postpartum was just a quick recovery period instead of a complete life transition.

I also knew how confusing nourishment could feel during the perinatal season. Pregnancy cravings, food aversions, nausea, exhaustion, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding hunger, low energy, and the endless mental load of deciding what to eat can make feeding yourself feel surprisingly hard.

And yet, mothers are so often told to simply “rest when the baby rests” or “make sure you eat,” without being given the practical support to actually do those things.

I believe the season after birth is a powerful transformation that deserves to be met with rest, nourishment, and care.

My own experiences with pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and motherhood opened my eyes to how deeply mothers need care after birth - not just encouragement, but real-life support that makes the day feel more manageable.

That is why my work is centred on postpartum care and nourishment.

Through postpartum doula care, in-home meal support, and perinatal nutrition guidance, I help mothers feel supported through the physical, emotional, and practical demands of this season. Whether you need help understanding what to eat, meals prepared for your freezer, newborn support while you rest, or reassurance that you are not supposed to do this alone, I’m here to help soften the load.

My approach is gentle, practical, and deeply mother-centred - offering support that honours your body, your recovery, your emotional well-being, and your unique needs. I’m here to help you feel held as you heal, supported as you adjust, and nourished as you care for your baby.
